Day 14 of our Leopard Hunt.
It's a long weekend in Queensland, so we are taking a few days off with the rest of Queensland and headed off to North Stradbroke Island for a couple of days camping on the beach.
The SeaLink car ferry system is great - at the time of booking we could only get a late ferry, but the staff said to come down and wait in the standby queue when we are ready to go, and they were confident that we would get on... we did as advised, and were blessed with being able to get on the 1pm ferry instead of the 4.30 ride.
It was our first time on a car ferry... what a great ride.
We arrived at Stradbroke, and made our way around to Flinders Beach, then it was down with the tyres and a beach run to our campground.
Set up camp and settled in for night when the rains started! It simply poured down all night... but we were snug and dry in our swag, and it's all part of the adventure!
