Day 25 of our Leopard Hunt and Day 5 of the GCR - Today Curtin Springs to Yarla Kitjarra.

We decamped from Curtin Springs and made our way to Ayers Rock.

As we soon discovered the entire area is basically national park, and no dogs are allowed, so it became just a drive through for us.

Long drive today, through some sensational countryside - the colours out here are so surreal.

We stopped at the Warrakuna community for fuel... poor naughty fuel bowsers have to be kept locked in cages!

Stopped by the Giles Weather Station, the last station that still launches a daily weather balloon, but we were too late in the day to witness this but we did check Len Beadell's grader that he used to build the Gun Barrel Highway.

Camped the night at Yarla Kutjarra, which is just before Warburton, a lovely little spot, with a great information panel put up by the local community.
