We packed up camp at Tobermorey and back on the dusty road heading for Alice Springs.

Prior to Ayers Rock we came upon Curtin Springs Station, who advertised camping grounds and cold beer! It was a no brainer...

Curtin Springs has been operating by the Severin family since 1956, over one million acres in size, and a welcome tourist stop for the thirsty traveller, it is testament to the strong character and strength of this family.

Don't be put off by the gruff nature of the chap at the bar - this place is a real gem....also check out the jewellery they sell featuring paper made from grasses harvested off the station.
