Day 15 of our Leopard hunt, and day 2 of our North Stradbroke Island break.

Well after a VERY rainy night last night. And a forecast for more of the same today, we were very pleasantly surprised to enjoy a warm, slightly overcast, but mostly dry day.

Used the rain in the morning as an excuse to sleep in, followed by a leisurely breakfast. Rain dried up so we went for a lovely long walk along the beach, right around to Adder Rock Point (aka Sunset Point).

Chase particularly had a ball chasing his ball! Tillie just ambled along trying not to sink in the soft patches of sand.

We made our way back to camp and had a wonderful swim in the Pacific Ocean.

As darkness falls, the Curlews come out from their days resting... elegantly stretching one leg back in a perfect arabesque, followed by the corresponding wing... they are nocturnal feeders, and if you have never heard a curlews cry, it is the most eerie sound in the dark of the night.

Goodnight and sweet dreams.
