Another big day on the road. Started from our improvised campsite near Madura Roadhouse planning on getting to Eucla for breakfast, but distraction crept in when we spotted a track to Eye's Well on Hema, so an ever adventurous detor ensued. We hoped that the track might be able to follow the coast for a bit. Well it was a loverly track, and we finally got to see the ocean, but we didn't find the well and the beach track was super soft so we didn't chance it solo (and without recovery gear) so we headed back to the highway and off to Eucla.

We checked out the Old Telegraph Station, and the Eucla Jetty (remains), set up the barbie and had some lunch, then it was on the road again.

Having made the border we drove into Crow Eater country, then found this lovely campsite on the cliff's edge where we will spend the night.

Wildlife count: 1 massive big red roo jumping through the scrub lands; a feral black dog with big dingo ears snacking on a dead cow on the side of the road; and 1 sly fox.

Alice: "Would you tell me please, which way I ought to go from here?" The Cheshire Cat responds, "That depends a good deal on where you want to get to." Alice replies, "I don't much care where ," and the Cat says, "Then it doesn't matter which way you go." "-so long as I get SOMEWHERE," Alice added.

Tomorrow - Cactus and beyond.
