Day 7 of our Leopard Hunt - Horrocks Pass in South Australia to Cobar in New South Wales.
An early start this morning from Horrocks, and a lovely drive through the pass notwithstanding the early morning hazard of kangaroos who are still making their way home, so we had to keep a sharp lookout!
We had breakfast at the public BBQs at Orroroo, home of a very large red gum, measuring some 10m around its trunk. Orroroo is one of the most loved towns we have been through... All the houses well kept and the main street a delight.
We then 'powered on' all the way through to Cobar in NSW, though the trip was made slower by the amount of feral goats about. Apparently there are around 5 million feral goats in NSW. I think we saw about 4.5m of them today.
Wildlife count: 15 live kangaroos, 2 Wedgetail Eagles, 2 kamikaze owls, countless emus and 4.5m goats.

Next leg Day 8 - Cobar to Burren Junction.
