Day 6 of our Leopard Hunt - Cactus to Horrocks Pass.

Left Cactus campsite and went out to Cactus' Caves surfbreak and sat on the point and watched about 25 keen surfers braving the icy waters.

Then back out to Penong, then hit highway 1 for the long run to Port Augusta.

Through the quarantine station at Ceduna, and the brave young officer asked to look in the back of the Ute for contraband... He took one look at our fully loaded tray and said "nup, she'll be right!" so off we went.

After a quick shop in Ceduna, Ian stopped at the bottle shop, and was asked to produce ID before he could purchase his cheeky little red.... clearly Ian carries his age well! Then lunch, and back on the road to Port Augusta.

Wildlife count: 6 live roos, one intently reading the kangaroo warning sign on the side of the road, prior to hopping onto the crash barrier and escaping into the bush.
